Insomnia, Music and Video gamessss

Well, jobs have been hard to come by, and I just got a call back from Applebee's. Normally I wouldn't think that it would be a big deal, but I've been unemployed for far too long, so I jumped at the opportunity. After the first interview, I got the second two days later, so now I'm just waiting to hear from them. If, in two weeks, I haven't heard from them, then it means that I'm still jobless...fun.

SO, back to the good stuff: Insomniaaaa
Yes, the monster's thriving very well. As a matter of fact, I went to the second Applebee's interview with three hours two nights before...so I was running on negative 20 hours of sleep. It went surprisingly well, even though I probably looked like a Zombie. I really didn't care that much, not surprising. So I've gotten into the habit of sleeping for 3-4 hours, and then waking up at 2 or 3 in the morning and finding myself unable to get back to sleep. It's like my body's saying "You just slept...you don't need more! Shut up!" So here I am, at 2:19 in the morning, typing a blog entry. I know I'm not the only one doing this either. Blegh, I'm going to fix this eventually. One of these days. I'd prefer not to use medication...actually, I'd rather lose a leg than take meds. (and for those of you that don't know, I am an exercise enthusiast, so losing a leg would be disastrous, not to mention extremely depressing.)

On the note of Video Games, I've been playing a game for the nintendo DS: Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon. I beat it for the first time since I've owned the game, because I actually got past this crazy cave section in the game that was only available in winter. Needless to say, it made me feel pretty cool and beastly...till I found out that there was another Rune Factory that you could play the part of a female for once, and that it was already out. That, and the fact that a lot of people have already beaten both games and were sitting on their asses salivating for the third Rune Factory to get to the US. So, after my not-so-satisfying game beat-down, I looked in my collection for another unbeaten game that was begging for it. I found Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. This game is cute, but I dislike the fact that all of the characters are chibi... If I wanted to look cute I'd be into cooking mama or something like that. (Despite my addiction to cooking and food in general, I still don't like games that are about cooking food...I'd rather go to the kitchen and actually cook food so I could eat it. It's a little crazy considering the fact that I read manga that's all about cooking, chefs, gourmets, sports etc, when I'd rather be doing all of those activities..but I digress.)

I really liked, in Rune Factory, how the art and design was beautiful, even if the characters were too young looking for my liking. I'd prefer a more mature-looking cast in my opinion. Just saying, I don't really go for the pedo-lookers, that's kind of weird for me.

On the note of Manga that I started in two paragraphs previous, I've been going through onemanga, (great place for free manga and finding popular mangas without having to pay for them), and I've found that there's been so much added since I started reading, that I need to go through the manga list all over again. It's a pain in the ass, but it's good, because some of my tastes have changed, and therefore, the types of mangas that I like to read has too. Now, some of you are asking, "What is manga?" Manga is basically a japanese form of comics. The styles differ greatly from American comics: to which I am thoroughly grateful, not everyone wants beefed up Marvel all the time.

Some particularly good mangas that I've read/am up to date with are:

One Piece, Gokusen, Worst, Naruto, Code Breakers, Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Bakuman, 1/2 Prince, 13, Diamond no Ace, Addicted to Curry, Kuroshitsuji, Are You Alice, AIKI, Fairy Tale, Chocolate, Dance in the Vampire Bund, Dr. Rurru, Deadman Wonderland, Family Compo, Franken Fran, Ga-Rei, GinTama, Saiyuki Reload Blast, Bleach, Akaboshi Ibun Suikoden, Kekkaishi, Toriko, and Air Gear. These are the few that I have the time to type up.

Talk to you later with more on the subject of Anime and Manga~
